Chapter Four

"Jacobe!" A voice called out.
Jacobe and Jenna realised their embrace, Jacobe felt panic, it was Kylie.
"Uh.. out here." He called to her.

Jenna starred at Jacobe, wondering what she should do, she had just kissed this girls boyfriend with no regard for their relationship at all, and now she was home, would she be able to tell?

Kylie opened the back door and stepped out onto the patio.
"Oh, hello. I didn't know we had company." Kylie said looking from Jenna to Jacobe, not knowing who this woman was.
"Kyes this is Jenna an old friend, she just stopped by for a visit." Jacobe got up and squeezed Kylie's shoulders. "I've told you about Jenna before."
"Yes" Kylie nodded, "Hi Jenna" she said politely, unaware as to what had just taken place on their patio.
"I'm home because Kaylee has a major issue with Todd, he's teething and there was no way I was going to get to sleep there." She kissed her boyfriend on the cheek.

"We were just having a drink, do you want to join us sweetie?" Jacobe asked Kylie.
"No, that's ok, I have to decide on where to have the reception by Wednesday, so I'll go surf the net a bit then head to bed. I'm sure you both have lots to catch up on." Kylie smiled. "Lovely to meet you Jenna."

"Ah, yes, you too." Jenna's heart skipped a beat or two when Kylie said reception. Reception? Wedding reception? What? When did this happen? Jenna searched Kylie's left hand for a ring but couldn't see one. Maybe she miss understood her.

Kylie left Jacobe and Jenna to themselves on the patio and Jacobe looked sadly towards Jenna.

"What did she mean reception Jake?" Jenna hissed at him softly so Kylie wouldn't hear.
"That's what I was trying to tell you just before she walked in." Jacobe replied softly.
"Tell me what exactly Jacobe, you better clear this up, because I think I've got my wires crossed."
"Kylie and I just recently got engaged."

Jenna felt faint, it was as she had feared, they were going to get married.
"But you just kissed me." She hissed angrily at him.
"You kissed me to!" He whipsered back with frustration.
"I don't want to be kissing someones fiance"
"But it's okay to kiss someones boyfriend?" Jacobe put his hands on his hips.

Jenna felt angry at what he had just said, but he was right, her eyes began to fill with water again, for the millionth time in the last 48 hours. She turned her face away.

"I should go, I shouldn't have come here." Jenna said standing up, trying to hold in the rest of her tears.
"Jenna, don't go." Jacobe whispered, "where would you go? Stay here the night and we can talk about this."
"What's there to talk about" Jenna sobbed.
"Plently, lets just sleep on it, okay. I'm going to go tell Kylie you'll be crashing here for the night in the spare room. I didn't mean to hurt you." Jacobe started to head toward the back door.

"Why didn't you tell me Jake? I thought we were as close as friends get." Jenna called to him before he left.
"The same reason why you didn't tell me you were going to be with Mark straight away." Jacobe opened the back door and disapearred into the house.
Jenna curled up on the patio lounge, tucking her feet underneith herself.
