Chapter Two

Chapter Two Song: Falls Apart by Sugar Ray

Jenna walked in the front door to find Mark stoned out of his mind on the floor of the lounge room. She felt angry that he probably took a hit as soon as she left, just after their fight about him using.
Jenna charged into the spare room and pulled one of the suitcases down from the top of the wardrobe, she took the bag into their bedroom and began to fill the bag with her clothes.

She walked through the house with a mission as she grabbed her belongings, with Mark still on the floor now starring at the television. She shook her head at him as she past him, chucking toiletries into her bag, she squeezed it shut and took it out to the lounge, she put the bag down and stood in front of Mark.

"Mark, I'm leaving." She said clearly to the waste on the floor
"Yeah okay" he mumbled.
She picked up her bag, "Goodbye Mark."

She walked out the door, put her bag into her car and backed out of her drive way. She paused at the side of the road, saying a silent goodbye to the house she called home, and started the drive that would lead to Jacobe.

She travelled the highway for four hours until she decided she would have to stop somewhere for the night. She pulled into a small motel just off the highway with rooms for $66.00.
"Can you do a room for $50.00? That's all I have." Jenna bargained with the owner, "I'll be out early in the morning too."
The owner reluctantly agreed, as business had been slow, at least some income was better than none. And he somewhat took pity on Jenna, she had this look of desperation on her face, it looked as if she had had a ruff night.

Jenna settled herself into her poky little room. It smelt like mothballs, she wondered how long it was since the room was last opened. Old floral linen lined the bed and the TV was bolted down to the table. Looking out the window of her room, you could see nothing but bushland lit by the full moon that was shinning that night.
Jenna layed down on the bed and closed her eyes shut tight. She didn't want to cry anymore, she had done enough crying to last her a life time. She fell asleep curled up to her pillow with thoughts of when she first met Jacobe.

Early the next morning Jenna was back on the road a little happier than the night before. she was beginning to become excited with the thought of seeing Jacobe again.
Jenna's phone rang, a silent number was calling.

"Hello" she answered.
'Where the bloody hell are you?" A female voice said at the other end of the phone.
Jenna recognised the voice, it was Gina her best friend. She put her mobile on speaker phone and kept driving.

"I'm taking a little trip." Jenna said firmly.
"What the hell Jenna? Mark has called here to see if you're with me. I said I didn't know shit. Whats going on, did you guys have another fight? Where are you?" Gina was in slight panic.

"Yes another god damn fight about the same crap, and I'm just over it Gee. So I left last night, for good, and I thought about things and it really is over."
"What? Holy shit. Where are you now?"
"I'm on my way to Jacobes, don't tell Mark. I'm almost half way there."
"What are you doing? Why are you going to Jacobes?"
"I have to see him, he's the only one that really gets me. We should have been together years ago Gee, but I screwed it up."

"Jenna Elizabeth Montgomery, just stop for a second and think about that your doing." Gina sternly said. Jenna hated it when Gina turned to using her full name. "Isn't Jacobe still with ... oh, what's her name?"
"...Kylie." Jenna added.
"...Yes, Kylie. Isn't he with her. What do you expect him to just drop everything with her because you've shown up, because you've just had a fight with Mark?"

"No, I don't expect that, you just don't understand."
"Help me out here then Jenna, I don't think you've really thought about what you're doing, you're still mad at Mark. Just come to my place until you've calm down a bit and we'll short things out with Mark."

"No.. you don't understand, there is no sorting out with Mark, that's it, it's over. Jacobe will understand why I need to see him, I'm not on some warped mission to break them up. I just have to see him."

Gina sighed, "Jenna, be careful, this isn't high school."
"I get that! I just need to do this. I'll call you when I get there. Don't tell Mark you've spoken to me, please."
"Alright," Gina sighed again. "You better call me."
"Yes, yes, I will... I will."
